“People who love to eat are always the best people” – Julia Child
It was just an ordinary day, so ordinary I was wearing pambahay when we decided to eat lunch outside our village. We finally stumbled upon this place we’ve been seeing for a couple of times already whenever we workout at Migui’s Gym. It was such a good distraction weeks ago seeing such tasty food posted right in front of where we burn them.

Right between a bank, a salon, spa, and coffee shop, Plana’s is not your ordinary pantry.
Operated by Rachel Plana, Plana’s Pantry is a Filipino-Western restaurant situated at Libertad, Mandaluyong City just beside Robinson’s Bank and in front of David’s Salon – California Garden Square.
They have just opened last September 1 for soft launch. If you want to drop by, they are open from 10:30 am – 11:00 pm.
Points to ponder, right behind your seat.
And some in front.
This amazed us a lot! We kept on trying to grow herbs and flowers in our place but… 🙁
These lights gave us an even more Western feel. I wonder how it looks like in the evening.
Love the quotes in here!
This small but tasty restaurant is something you should not underestimate. Apart from the great interiors and friendly staff, you will be amazed with the food serving you’ll get. We didn’t expect it to be this much…
Chicken Parmigiana, P220.00
Hickory BBQ Ribs, P265.00
One of their specialty dish, Plana’s Sisig, P230.00
According to what we heard when we were eavesdropping during the time we ate (lol), the serving was based on the appetite of the chef. Cool right? But John can live up to the challenge, and ate his plate of Plana’s Sisig, in a flash. (Oh and he tried my Hickory BBQ Ribs too!)
With the right food, clean-looking dining area, and a very inviting ambiance, Plana’s Pantry sure is all about simple, honest, generous, delightful food, and good relationships.
